Terms of Service

4.1 Subscription Fee: Our Services require an annual subscription fee of $97 USD. Your subscription begins after a 7-day free trial period.

4.2 Free Trial: New users are eligible for a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be automatically charged the annual subscription fee.

4.3 Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

4.4 Automatic Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

4.5 Book Sales and Payouts: BookFlarePro charges zero platform fees on your book sales. As the author, you are responsible for:

• Printing costs: The manufacturing and fulfillment costs for each book sold, which vary based on page count, size, and binding type
• Payment processing fees: Standard Stripe fees (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction)

Your net earnings (sale price minus printing costs and payment processing fees) are automatically deposited to your connected Stripe account once funds have cleared, typically within 7 days of the sale. You can view a full breakdown of gross sales, fees, and net earnings in your dashboard.

5.1 Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload, including manuscripts, cover images, and other materials ("Your Content"). By uploading content to our platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of providing our Services.

5.2 Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and authorize us to use Your Content.

5.3 Prohibited Content: You may not upload content that: (a) infringes any third-party intellectual property rights; (b) is defamatory, obscene, or offensive; (c) promotes illegal activities; (d) contains malware or harmful code; or (e) violates any applicable laws or regulations.

5.4 Our Intellectual Property: All rights, title, and interest in and to our Services, including our website, platform, logos, and trademarks, are and will remain the exclusive property of BookFlarePro.

6.1 Printing and Fulfillment: We provide print-on-demand services through our network of printing partners. Orders are printed and shipped directly to customers upon purchase.

6.2 Print Quality Guarantee: We stand behind the quality of our printed products. If a book arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it at no additional cost. Customers must report defects within 30 days of delivery.

6.3 No Refunds Policy: All book sales are final and non-refundable. Since each book is custom printed on demand, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds. Defective or damaged books are covered under our Print Quality Guarantee (Section 6.2) with a free replacement.

6.4 Shipping: Shipping times and costs vary based on the destination and shipping method selected. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or customs processing.

6.5 Author Copies: Authors may purchase copies of their own books at wholesale cost price for personal use or resale.

7.1 Free Annual ISBN: Active annual subscribers receive one (1) complimentary ISBN per year as part of their membership benefits. This free ISBN is not available during the 7-day trial period and only becomes available once the paid subscription begins.

7.2 ISBN Quota Reset: The free ISBN quota resets annually on your subscription renewal date. Unused free ISBNs do not roll over to the following year.

7.3 Publisher of Record - Free ISBN: When you use a free ISBN provided by BookFlarePro, BookFlarePro will be listed as the "Publisher of Record" in ISBN databases, retailer catalogs, and industry listings. This means:

• BookFlarePro is the official publisher in ISBN registries
• BookFlarePro manages the book's listing and metadata
• You retain full copyright and creative control over your work
• You receive your full net earnings as outlined in Section 4.5

7.4 Own ISBN Option: Authors who wish to be listed as their own publisher of record may purchase and use their own ISBN. ISBNs can be obtained from Bowker (the official US ISBN agency) or your national ISBN agency. When using your own ISBN, you are listed as the publisher of record.

7.5 ISBN Permanence: Once an ISBN is assigned to a book, it is permanently tied to that specific title, edition, author, and format. ISBNs cannot be:

• Changed or reassigned after publication
• Reused for a different book, even if the original book is unpublished or deleted
• Transferred between authors or publishers

7.6 Copyright Retention: Regardless of which ISBN option you choose, you always retain full copyright ownership of your work. The publisher of record designation affects administrative and listing purposes only and does not transfer any intellectual property rights.
